Being alongside the mountain and surrounded by sea, Rushan is a rising ecological seaside tourism city. It has won a series of titles such as “China’s Model City for Environmental Protection”, “China’s Excellent Tourism City”, “National Ecological City”, “National Garden City”, “National Hometown for Longevity” and “One of the Most Desirable Cities for Residence”.

Named after the breath-shaped mountain inside its territory, Rushan is the homeland for well-known writer Feng Deying, the birthplace for “The Lettuce”,” Winter jasmine” and “Wild Chrysanthemum”, and battle place for nationally known “Mashishan Ten Heroes”.

乳山，位于北纬37度的山东半岛黄金南海岸, 海岸线长185.6公里，面积1668平方公里，与韩国、日本隔海相望，地处青岛、烟台、威海三个沿海开放城市的中心腹地，是国家发展战略山东半岛蓝色经济区的核心区、中日韩合作重点区、新兴产业聚集区、创新型经济先导区。

乳山，航空、铁路、高等级公路通达全国，一个小时可到达青岛、烟台、威海三个机场和三个港口，融入了山东半岛一小时经济圈。

Located at the golden coast on north latitude 37 degrees, Rushan overlooks Japan and South Korea across the sea and situated  in the center of three open cities—Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai. With a coastline of 185.6 km, Rushan is the core area of Shandong Peninsula Blue Economy Zone, a key area of China-Japan-Korea cooperation, a cluster region of burgeoning industries and pioneering area of innovation-oriented economy.

Rushan boasts convenient transportation, such as airline, railway and highway, with three airports and ports in Qingdao, Yantai and Weihai within one-hour’s reach, thus being integrated into Shandong Peninsula “one-hour economy zone”.
